Cherry Blossoms in Seoul

One of my favorite things about where we live is our proximity to Namsan.  Namsan is a mountain here in Seoul that translates directly into South Mountain.  Historically, it was the southern most mountain here, but ironically, now it's at the city center.  It has beautiful trails around the mountain and a great view from the top.  We've enjoyed it in the winter, but now that the weather has warmed up, everything is in bloom and it's absolutely breathtaking.  Takami, the high school student I've been tutoring this year, was dying to see it, so one day after school we headed over to Namsan.

Here's Takami with the kids.  It's been a fun year tutoring her.  She graduates in a few weeks and will be heading back to Japan at the end of the summer.  I'm going to miss her.

The kids loved playing in the fountain.

They were soaked.

After walking around the mountain, we took the cable car to the top.  It was a gorgeous view.

I thought Korea was fun before, but now that everything is in bloom, it is even more fun to get out and see things.  Korea's awesome!
